so i just bought a 92 rs a few days ago and today all of a sudden the power door locks, trunk switch dome light and passenger side window switch stopped working. any ideas? i tried fuses but that wasnt it. i jsut dont want to go to a mechanic and have them charge me some bs.

 

The cigarette lighter on 90-92 Camaros came with a factory defect. When you use it the fuse blows. I found a diagram on another post. Fuse 11, a 20 amp. Most likely this is your culprit.

 

well that about sucks seeing as how i use my radar everyday. anyway to fix it? cheaply

 

The socket is usually not the problem. The element itself will apparently cause the fuse to blow when pressed. Easy fix, replace fuse and don't push in the cigarette lighter. Better fix, go to the dealer and buy a new lighter element. They supposedly revised the part and all replacements are of this variety. This has come up before try a search, something will come up.
