fog lamp relay ground

does the relay need to be grounded? if so, is the metal bracket how it is grounded? i got a new one today and the bracket on the relay is plastic and the fog lights don't work. the fuse is good, the switch works....but the voltage at the plug for the fog lamps reads negative 13.xx??

the probes only fit one way...unless you are referring to the multimeter....i put the black to the black on the fog lights...which diagrams label as ground, and i put the red to the purple

The relay gets it's ground through the wiring, not the mounting tab. If you're there anyways...

Did you knoe, your fog lights don't work when the high beams are on?

AustinThirdGen.Org » Content » Tech Articles » Making your fog-lights work regardless of high and low beams

Took me 10 min, 1 handed! Those with 2, could easily do it in less than 5 min.
