Tach help

Not sure if this is the right forum but i just got a 91 rs and the tach is way off. it idles close but pegs with ease im not sure if its a v6 tach maybe a previous owner installed or if its bad. does any one know how to test or repair this issue what are my options?

edit crap my old eyes missed a nice thread all about this so sorry for extra post

so instead can i ask for some help pulling out my cluster so i can do the fix. i never tore out the dash on a camaro before so any intructions to make it easy would be great.

also can i put in a speedo that goes higher then 110 and what is a good donor to look for?
