HI/LO headlight mod results

HI/LO headlight mod results

Well I tested it for 6+ month and the mod works well with no side effects.
I wanted to wait a few months to make sure there would be no problems before the biters n haters had their say.

Basically I don’t wanna run fancy extra light on my car anymore. Not gonna cut holes and install extra lights. So I got some fancy bright headlights and wired up a switch for my brights with a inline fuse. When I need the extra light and wont be blinding folks…. Ill turn on the hi beams.

Note the low beams stay on too. Basically running both filaments at once.
Works great, puts out mucho lots of light with no ill effects.

If I had 4 headlights stock id wire em all like that with hi/lo bulbs.

wouldn't having the hi and lo beams on at the same time be brighter than just having the hi beams on? I know they have a switch on the ford taurus cars that let you turn on both hi and lo and its really really bright.

That what I am doing. Running both filaments at the same time when I need extra light. Each bulb has two, one for hi and one for lo. So I get 4 times the light out of 2 bulbs.
