Is this supposed to happen?

When I step on the brake pedal, my gauges light up?

Transmission: TH 200-4R
Axle/Gears: 3.23
It could happen if: your gauges lights are connected to the parking light circuit, and; your rear lights have lost their grounding.
Current going through the brake lamps then have to go through the park and turn signal lamps to find a return path to ground. Look at the rear lamps while someone steps on the brake pedal. If most lamps back there light up, then look for a bad ground..
