What To Do About Third Brake Light??

went to get my Z inspected today and was told that the third brake light didn't work. I mean to tell you the truth i dont know if its worked the entire month i've had it. Now i dont know how much the guy knew about camaros, but said the bulb would probably be pretty cheap. (he passed me anyway, just told me to get it done). I'm wondering if its just that simple or is this a big/costly repair???

Depends what's actually wrong with it I guess, but it can't be that complicated. It's just a light.

No thirdgens had LEDs. The stop light on your car should have 1 or 2 bulbs, IIRC. At least you don't have the brake light in the spoiler, then you'd have 5 bulbs at around $9 each.

oh ok. i just talked to my dad and he said its no big deal. which is a big relief beacuse the last thing i would need would be to have to replace some costly part

On my 92 firebird, I've been having problems with the third brake light. I took it all apart once and cleaned everything and it worked again, for a week. I think i'm going to solder the wires directly to the bulb.

Same thing that happened with my 91RS, bought the bulb for cheap, 2 weeks later it quit working...interesting that it is the only one I have seen in my town that has (or had) a working 3rd brake light. Guess I gotta check it out sometime.
