Temp Gauge problem 92bird
Hello,
I installed a hypertech #4026 temp sensor designed to make the single fan turn on at 176 dgrees. The switch works however, my temp gauge shoots above 160 as soon as I turn my power on. If I knock on the gauge, the needle will work its way back down, but as soon as the ignition switch is turned to power, the needle shoots above 180 even with a cool engine. i have never had a problem with this gauge until i installed the new sensor. The new wiring is simple, one end plugs in to the existing green wire and the other end goes to the switch. All other gauges work normaly. Any suggestions?
