Need some help identify these wires

Hi,
I'm sure by now everyone has seen my posts about the 91 dash into 84.

Well one thing that I've been wondering about this new dash, is it appeared to have 2 of those 'conduits' that run along the drivers side door sill.

Well tonight it 'clicked' one of these is suppose to go behind the dash!! GRRR, so now going to have to loose the dash up, and hope I can run it behind there (unless someone else chimes in and say NOOOO it doesn't go there)

but anyways, I have some questions one what some of the wires are for?
For some reason, a bunch of the wires were cut right were they come off the fuse panel harness.

So not sure if I should just spice them back together, or was there something else (connector) or some other wires that connected to these?

Anyone know?

Here is the end of the conduit and the wires coming out the end.

I think 2 may be for the foot light? But what are all the other wires for?
There is also one with a harness on the end, not sure what that would connect to either?

I hope someone knows?
sorry about the bad pic, I took 2 but looks like only this one saved. I can take a better pic tommorrow if you would like.

I agree with 83Z28 on a little better pictures.I don't think there's much,if any, difference between the '83 and '84 wiring harness(Cruise control systems are somewhat different).I'm trying to figure what the relay is for in the first picture.
As for wiring diagrams,if you don't have all of it,you might try AutoZone's website AutoZone.com | Repair Info It's a good starting point as they have multiple year wiring diagrams though it may not be as detailed as you might need.

I'll take a better pic in a little bit, wish the first one would have saved.

Ya, I've been wondering about that relay (or whatever that is) is for. I haven't seen it referenced in any of the diagrams I have.

Just to make sure, that whole conduit is suppose to go behind the dash isn't it

At first that's what I thought it went too, but there are 2 of these conduits. The other one has all the wires for the tail lights ect in it.

This one I'm not really sure what the wires are for.

could it be that the other goes down the passenger side.i have one on each side of the car.if it's long enough that may be where it goes.

I think the wires are for power mirrors, and some of the cruise control stuff. I ended up just taking the wires out of that conduit and then putting it in wireloom and then routing that behind the dash. Beats taking the dash off again, just to route that.

Is this the wires that lead to the back end of the car? If it is then its not power mirrors, its probably all the wiring for the lights, rear hatch release motor, rear window defroster, and for the fuel tank. Nothing else goes to the back other than these, maybe the speaker wires from the deck but those are on the other side of my car. It looks like its everything for the rear end of the car, and some of the stuff for your console.

These are actually not those wires. I already have the tail lights ect hooked up.

This was a second conduit.

That relay in the first picture is for the power door locks. With all the spaghetti there is hard to say exactly where some of those go.

Ya, I wish the guy who had this dash before didn't cut those wires, I have everything else in the dash hooked up and working. But those few wires are ones I want to figure out what they are for.

not sure why he cut them. He was so careful to not cut anything else.
