I get all kinds of voltage drops when I do various things. My meter bounces back and forth when the blinker is on, it goes down in reverse, etc etc. I would say its normal but we might want to get some more opinions...it depends on how much it drops!

Well yeah that would be about 6VDC. Thats not good either. Here is a few things you can check and this is the order I'd do it. Also this applies if the 6VDC drop is just in reverse.
1. Check with a Meter at the battery when in reverse exactly what your getting. Your gauge maybe jacked. Maybe problem solved!!
2. Check your brake light switch under the dash, something could be shorted out there aswell
3. Check all your reverse lights (bases and wires) for shorts. You maybe getting a voltage drop there.
4. Either update your battery, if its old and also have your alternator checked
Now this is just my personal opinion on how I'd go about solving this issue. Someone else may have a better way or whatever, but its a start.
