No alternator wire in 87 bird... How to hook up?
Like the title says, i have an 87 bird that has a chopped up power harness. It has no connector for my 4 wire alternator.
How can I wire it up so it works properly, with the stock gauge?
I know the main lug on the back goes to the starter which feeds the battery right? then there should be a "referance" wire to tell what the electrical system is currently getting.
I dont know though. Im just going off of what I know.
thanks in advance for the help

Mine was similar, I just wired it direct to the fuse box. There is like a 10K resistor needed that simulates the dash light for the alt. Put it between the hot to the alt and the fuse box.
