So I was at Pep Boys getting some and stuff, and when I got back to my car I started it and heard the strangest whining noise. I opened the hood and the Alternator was throwing sand size glowing sparks out of the vent holes. I turned off the engine and smoke started billowing out of it.

So I went back in and got a rebuilt for $80.00. It seems like whenever something goes wrong it at worst time financially for me.

So now I'm just waiting for thing to cool down before replacing the damn thing. Someone called ProStart remanufactured the Alternator. I've never heard of them but what are going to do. It has a 3-year warranty. I hope it will be OK.

It looks like a straight forward fix, is there anything I should be a where of?
