What are trying to do with this remote start, where are you going to mount it? Because if you need it just to "bump" the engine then you just a hot source (BAT) and then tap into the purple wire that goes to the starter.(small lug on starter)

I am wanting to use it correct, i press a button on the remote and it suppost to turn lights on for five seconds. and with in them five seconds i hit that button again and it will start and run for 10 minutes or something ( warm up ) right now i have it wired wrong and need to know what is the correct way of wiring it up. Its mounted under driver kick panel but that shouldn't be an issue. Everything works. Except i'm not sure how to wire the remote start up....

Need to know what wires go from remote engine start circuit to what wires on the ignition switch.

Also Why when i hook up the purple wire that shows it needs to be connected to the coil wire ( look s like the wire that goes from the coil to the dist. cap ) my car won't even start with the key.

Also what would the white wire that says "WHITE ACC" be used for....

ok, first study the diagram please but this is how i got it hooked up and i what i get.

Way it should work by the book. Press a button and and siren will chirp once, parking light will light up for 5 seconds, press button again within 5 seconds and the end will start.

What happens. I press button once and siren chirps 3 times and light flash once, my acc. come on for a slit second along with fuel pump and then nothing.....

Alarm wire Car wire
blue pink
brown orange
brown brown
red one of the reds
yellow yellow

Small seperate wire that says "WHITE ACC" is also connected to the brown car wire. Tried both ways and no difference. Also I don't have the "PURPLE" wire hooked up to the coil like illustrated in diagram cause if it hooked to coil output ( wire that goes to dist. Cap. ) car won't even start with key.

WTF am i doing wrong??????? PLLLLLLLLLLLLLLEAAAAAAAAAASEEEEE help me

Thanks Derrick

Okay, first part of many revisions i am sure, 1.) PURPLE wire it appears from the diagram that this wire acts like a timing light "pulse" lead (usually connects to #1 plug wire), wrap it in a coiled fashion aroung the coil wire just as illustrated.

Still looking at schematics for the "starter" circuit. Get back with you.

One quick question, i dont think it matters too much but we are dealing with your 91 TA right?

ya we are dealing with my 91 t/a. I know i have the wires connect right cause i can manually jump the relays and the car and relays work fine. I think it has something to do with that damn purple wire. but if i connect it to my coil. To the wire that goes from the coil to the dist. to fire the rest of the plugs. My car won't even start. With or with out the key. I'm so freakin stumped right now. I did find out that the "white Acc" wire goes to my brown/orange wires on the ignition switch plug. still no difference. If i get a chance i'll scan the whole book that came with it. Only bout 4 or 5 pages and post on here too.

Thanks for any help

Derrick

are you connecting the purple wire directly to the coil wire? because looking at the diagram it looks like you should "wrap" the coil wire with the purple wire

you need to "wrap" around the coil wire with the purple wire

ok, well no changes since either way i've done it. I'm thing i might have connected something wrong somewhere. But everything works good except remote start. and its not the wiring to the igntion switch and i know its not the relays. Manually started my car but grounding the relays with a couple peices of wire.

Pretty much i get a chirp and lights come ( suppost to for 5 seconds and with in them 5 seconds i press the button again and car should start ) but then i get 3 quick chirps right after and the lights and fuel pump and acc. only stay on for a split second. So its like something is stopping the computer ( computer meening the remote start computer and not car computer ) from starting the car.

Weather says it should be nice the next couple of days so i'm going to retrace every wire and maybe i connect a wire to the wrong one. Only human.

I'll Keep you post

Thanx for atleast attempting to help and the help you have gave me.
Edit:
Also please look at diagram and maybe u can tell me what the red wire that is labled "BP Optional" is. This is not hooked up cause i don't know where it goes or what it does. It is by the purple wire ( coil ) blue wire ( door trigger ) and "white Acc" wires.

Thanks again
