Battery dies after a few days...???
So as the title says about every 3 days i will go to work on my 92 z-28 and the battery is dead. Its a new battery, last one died. No interior lights are on, i have kept the alarm off. Not sure what it could be. A ground or something is staying on. Any common problems out there????? Only things i can think of are that that hatch button doesnt work and the horn doesnt work as well. Havent go to fixing them yet, could there be a short or somethin there? Its a slow drain on the battery so I am up for any ideas on how to look for it. Its not a daily driver but i hate jumping it to take it out on the weekends.

Fairly simple way to start looking for an electrical system drain.
Remove the negative battery cable and put one test light lead on the disconnected cable & the other lead on the negative battery terminal. The light coming on will indicate a drain - remember, you must have all switches turned off. If you open the door the test light will show a drain - trying to turn on the dome. If you see the test light lit up, then you can remove each fuse 1 by 1 to narrow your search to the circuit. Once you isolate the circuit, look for easy things before tearing harnesses apart.
Good Luck,
Corky
