Headlights wiring

I am going the full distance on rewireing my headlights to get some decent lighting going. In addition to buying the Sylvania Silverstar 4556 & 4651 Headlights i am going to wire them directly from an electrical source. Just like in the tech articles. I have all the wireing and everything and just a few questions. When wireing to the relays in the kit i am making do i use the wires going to headlights to turn on the relays? or is there a headlight relay underthe hood of the car? if so where is it???

You use the wiring ffom the headlight switch to activate the relays. And use your battery as the power source for the headlights themselves as shown in the diagram.I have the Silverstars in my '83 and just the change to them was like night and day compared to the old halogens.
