i take it you have problems with the VATS on your car.
that part looks like its a module to replace the factory VATS unit to enable fuel.
it will not give you starter enable, you will have to by-pass that your self.
it should work to enable fuel from the ECM, but it seems a little on the expensive side to me.
i bought a module to enable fuel for my car from painless wiring, it ran around $50.00 four years ago.
this is the one i bought.

you can call them & they will tell you where you can order & buy a module in your area. the painless part may cost more now than what i paid, but it may save you some cash.
something to think about, for about what the site you posted wants for that module, you can buy the stuff you need & remove VATS, plus make other changes to your chip.

How is that thing supposed work. I just measured the resistor in my Key and soldered a resistor of the same value to the whit wires going from the ECM to the Ignition switch and I don't worry about the VATS anymore.
I think you can reprogram your ECM to disable the VATS.

Sorry for hijacking this post, but I'm doing a TBI/TPI conversion and I'll be using a TPI system from an '89. What do I have to do in order to make my key work with the new system?

I just took the resistor out of my old key, disconnected the ignition switch from where it connects to the wiring harness, at the bottom of the steering wheel, and soldered the resistor to the two wires, then plugged the "pigtail" I made back up. Bought a regular key cylinder from Advance, and kerplow! I was golden... I will upload a picture of it when I get a chance to shoot it, if it will help anyone.

Ughh61, with a pp2 & TunerPro you can turn VATS off faster than what it took me to type this.
92 Heritage RS, does the car your putting the TPI in have VATS?
what those VATS modules are for is to do away with the factory VATS modules. with the one from painless you make 3 connections, the ground wire, power ties into the 5 volt reference signal of the ECM, the third wire is hooked to the VATS input of the ECM.
if you don't burn your own chips, don't have a working factory module & don't want to spend $200.00 on one from the dealer, they are a cheap way out.
you can also hook them up like i did to your alarm system so you car won't start when the alarm is turned on. the siren & starter relay are easy to get around, the injectors not firing isn't quite so easy.

92 Heritage RS, it depends on the connectors under the dash.
without looking at a wiring diagram of both systems, you may not need to change anything for VATS to work. there are 2 connectors that kind of look like they are only one connector but they can be separated. they hook the dash side harness into the ECM side of the harness, one of the wires is for
the VATS.
im pretty sure you will have to repin some of the terminals in these 2 connectors to get everything to work right, the VATS wire may or may not need to be moved.
