VATS QUESTION
I have just completed swapping an 89 GTA dash and wiring harness into my 88 IROC. Since my car did not have vats from the factory, am I to assume it is basically disabled in the ecm? No 5v ref from the vats module for the injectors needed? If so, all I should have to do to get the car to fire up and run is connect the large yellow and the GRN-WHT wires at the starter enable relay right.

No, I am using the one out of my IROC since it did not have vats and I know it is good.

Axle/Gears: 2.42 too high
with the fix done at the starter disable relay i think you should be good to go then.
