I have the original operating instructions booklet to my Firebird. Want me to take a picture? Its the Goodwrench Remote VSS-300.

Re: trying to find remote code for GM alarm

Does anyone have the installation instructions for this unit?

I'm trying to find out why mine doesn't work right. I think one of the circuits is broken between the box and the vehicle.

Re: trying to find remote code for GM alarm

I have the instructions for a VSS201 system. The black boxes appear different between yours and mine. My black box has plug in wiring harnesses; yours has separate spade connectors.

Box Label:

Inside:
Name: GMkeylessentry005_zps86154ed4.jpg
Views: 917
Size: 64.1 KB

I traced the patent number on the label and it came back as assigned to Code Alarm. You might want to search online for any Code Alarm manuals.

Re: trying to find remote code for GM alarm

lol thanks. but i made this thread 8 years ago.

funny thing is a few weeks after making this thread i ended up cleaning the interior and found a remote under the passenger seat wedged in the seat track and the alarm worked great.

No problem! I was just shocked that my car came with the code for the alarm as well!
