1983 Firebirdh headlight motor issue
I pulled my headlight assembly out today to fix the broken hinge and when reinstalled, the headlight goes up, but not down. I can manually lower the light and has no binding or noises. All the connections look fine and have no corrosion. I dont have my volt meter or light tester right now so im thinking its the relay that is located on headlight assembly. So what is your thoughts on this issue?

Eventhough headlight motors on the 82-84's are different, when I overhauled the headlight motors on my 91 one of them did that. I took it back apart and lubed it up real good with white lithium grease and it worked fine from there.

hi there im not sure but they did work fine before didnt they
really sounds like it has to be a connection issue
something has to be loose or dirty, i notice they sue alot of black gummy crap in the wiring plugs on these, or they did on mine anyways, very dirty, i am going to clean all mine out with some spray and electrical contact cleaner one of these days
on a side note i have had my 82 motors removed from my car for a couple years andi went to reinstall them yesterday and i cannot find my screws and have no idea what they look like
can you describe what yours look like
how long they are and is the threaded end of them tapered and are they coarse or fine thread ?
they do pass through the motor housings right ? real long ?
thanks and good luck
