ECM will not push 40 Lb. injectors 1227165

I have recently put a TPI setup on my '77 Impala. I have a set of 40Lb injectors, but the ECM (1227165) will not fire them. I have checked the injector harness with a noid light and it checks out fine. I also checked each injector, and they all operate on the bench. My question is, can I run these 40 Lb injectors. The impedance on them is 12 ohm, and the stock injectors are all 14.4 ohm. What am I doing wrong??

Everything sounds good to me- How do you know they are not firing? Is the chip modified for the increased fuel flow? What is your fuel pressure?

Why do you need 40lb injectors anyways? You do not need those injectors you are running a massive engine. If you are running a stock 350 get 24lbrs. Post the mods to your engine and we will tell what kind of injectors to get.

I have put a noid light on the injector harness, the pulse is going to the injector. On the bench, the injectors open and close just fine. When in the car, the injectors will not open/close with the pulse. I am running 42 PSI with the stock FP regulator. I have a custom burned chip with a Moates adapter, chip is set up for the injectors. Can the ECM push injectors with only a 12 Ohm impedance??

Are you SURE they aren't firing? Or the car just won't start? I suspect they are firing, but at 40lbs, the engine is flooding. Does it reek of gas when you try to start the car? 40lb injectors are WAY overkill.

I had a friend turn the engine over while I listened/felt for the injectors to cycle. They do not turn on/off when cranking, but the injector harness is pulsing with the noid light. I pulled the plug after trying to crank it, and they are dry without any gasoline smell. Gas is fresh. I do realize that they are larger than they need to be, but they should still be firing. I have already listed the injectors on Ebay for sale, and I will replace them, but I just want to make sure there is no other potential problem.

You had better be burning your own prom for that setup or it will barely run.
