vss ????
i have a 86 z28 and i am putting a hole new wiring harness in it and i finally got to the gauge clusted and i cant figure out what the yellow box on the back of the spedometer does it is connected to the tach
i thought only fire birds has vss there is a cable gong to the back of the spedo so will it still work with out hooking it up thanks

That's the VSS. The speedometer will work without it, however the computer won't get the signal from the VSS if it's not hooked up.
