Blown Fuse
I have a problem with my Ing to ECM power fuse (10amp) that keeps blowning. I have not found any bad wires or grounds as I have loook and stripped off the wrapping on much of the harness.
I had just returned from a 400 mile trip, rounded the last turn of the freeway at about 75mph of a suggested 35mph turn, no biggie, but at that point it blew the fuse (maybe the G-force had something to do with it?) and I limped home (3 miles)
I replace the fuse and all is ok for about 10 min of driving. I have replace the ECM in the past (two times) and wondering if the ECM is bad again. If I put a larger fuse in, it doesn't blow (as a test only). I am about to order a new ECM (Kragen has reman for about $70.00)
The car is a 1984 Z28 / T5 / L69. 160k, MSD 6AL and the engine replace with a 350 and Crane Cam.
Anyone run into this before.. or any suggestions or opinons on replacing the ECM or anything else to check ?
thanks.
