no spark...

85 camaro with a 327. in the last 2 months i put new heads, cam, lifters, HSR, timing chain. pretty much a whole new top end and the internal coiled was switched to an external one. when i first tried to start it up it wa getting spark but it was weak, tried it for a couple times and the tack pegged out.. then after that i noticed that i didnt plug in the 4 wire connector to the ditributor.. duh... and now there is no spark at all.. the wiring seems to be all good and there is a brand new distributor and coil. could i have fried the ecm?. the fuel pump primes when the ignition is turned on and 12 volts go to teh coil... also when i first tried starting it, it had a coil with a ground and the tach wire goin to the same connection and i read in chiltons that if it was grounded it could cause ignition or ecm problems... should i try a new ecm?
