Xact wireset issue Advance Auto
Xact wireset issue Advance Auto
I bought a set of Xact wires for my TPI Camaro. They had fitting issues, too long or too short, but not a nice fit. So, I took them back to Advance Auto. No problem, they got another set, same part number, and pulled them out of the box to compare with the set I had just purchased. They didnt match from box to box. Crap....
So, I returned the wireset and went elsewhere for a set of original AC Delco plug wires. I know they will fit.

Re: Xact wireset issue Advance Auto
I Have been at Advance auto for about 3 years and i will not hiestate (just don't tell the boss) the Xact wires arn't good for anything except import cars (short distance between ign coil and valve cover) Autolites are good wires but the lenght averagely fit a little too long(hint hint) AC DELCO are what A LOT of peeps i deal with run on GM cars/truck so i picked up those habits. I just put a set of accell wires, coil, cap n rotor and it seems the wires took about 150 miles to break in? but runs fine now.

My mom got a set for her Firebird and they sucked. After they took the 2nd set back, I told them to go ahead and spend the money to get some AC Delcos. No problems when they were installed. Xact's suck. I personally run JEG's branded 8mm wire on my Z28 and my IROC-Z. 41 bucks a set shipped.
