need desperate wire help... i have a short
somewhere and i have no idea where it is. The only thing i know is that it is leaking power from my power supply that powers my amps, my nitrous kit, and the image below is powered by it. In the image, I have no idea what the stuff is for. I took it off temporarily to see what was turned off and all i saw was the nitrous ws off. I bought this car from someone who had done all this work before I had it. im wondering if i take off all that stuff but the wire to the amps, rewire the nitrous actuator switch, and put in a kill switch if ths would help? now that i have that taken care of, when i was driving the car, I would lose charge to about 9 volts at times. Then my alternator would finally kick in and charge it back up. Would this be because i have a low output alternator or could it be from that short or both? I am running two amps that power my speakers and my 2 subs. Im fairly new to car electronics and any help would be great. thanx guys

First off, its not a short or you would blow a fuse or have a fire.
It may be a drain somewhere.
first check, with engine off and all electrics shut off, disconnect + lead from battery, and connect a 21w (indicator) bulb between battery + post and the + lead. This should only glow very slightly (clock in dash etc) if it glows a lot or is on bright, it shows something is leeching power.
Second.
Get a voltmeter, check battery voltage. should be 12-12.5 volts.
Start engine, it should now read approx 14.7 volts.
Turn on your headlamps & heater fan, it should still read above 13 volts.
If it drops below this figure, you have a charging fault.
If it is above, try running your amps, if it drops below then you have too much kit using power, and need a bigger alternator.

Whoa, that is terrible wiring!!
Best re-do it all getting rid of all those horrible connections in the wires!!
