speedo issues
When I first put the car on the road after putting in the engine and all it worked fine up until a few days ago here goes, The speedometer nor odometer work under 30 or 45 MPH depending on what it wants to do and then once it reaches it's speed it jumps from zero to however fast I'm moving, if I slow down under 35 or 40 and sometimes 30 MPH it drops straight to zero again, lets say I'm going 35 through town the needle just bounces from 0 to 35 and back and fourth until I slow down slower or speed up. Luckily it's steady at 55 and so on.
Oh yeah 1992 RS 3.1 V6 700R4 trans and some limited slip rear.

Re: speedo issues
your kidding me right! so this site ( the LARGEST 3rd gen infobase in existence) has no info on a F-in speedometer in a 92 Rally Sport Camaro
Please tell me this is some sick joke that will end soon, I've gotten 2 tickets in it already for speeding before the overheating issue started taking over and I would probably have more if I could drive it more than 3 miles at a time.
I miss my RS I'M almost asking for pity here. (or a gallon of gas to torch it)

Re: speedo issues
If this were a cable driven speedo, I would look at the cabling connections that attach to the worm gear on the Trans or the back of the Speedo Unit itself.. I did run into a problem on where the cable was being pinched and it would cause very similar results.
Next thing I would check is the VSS to see if it is in good working order.
