Fuel gagues for the new guy
Hey ya'll Has u look at my name u can prob figure it out i normally have a truck netherless a FORD. But i got a kick butt deal on a 83 trans am 88,000 miles and ALL the paper work it was own by lil ol lady who brought it new with 75 miles on it (not to brag but ...hehehehheehhhehhe
i think) anyways after a tune up a/c upgrade.... wish i still had r12 but ne ways...i realize i had 2 prob both not 2 bad but dang annoying
1st. the fuel gauge says full unless i stomp on the brakes (HARD) then i watch it go down most of the time. now does it sound like a wiring prob? when i had the ac worked on the day i got it back i noticed the gauge work a little (floated back and forth)but then nothing after i filled it up
any tips on where the grounds i might wanna check out? fuel sendig unit(if so WHERE CAN I GET IT?)
2. my quadujet air/fuel sensor
runs like crap but if i un hook it runs good (but runs rich)
any tips for this new guy this is my 1st car i've bought (litteraly i've always had trucks) and first .....pontiac

Probably a bad sender unit. You can get that from a dealer or a junkyard. For the carb problem head over to the Carb boards, they got tons of tech on Q-Jets
