anyone run the timing retard on a msd digital 6 plus?

I just hooked up my digital 6 plus system (6520) after I rebuilt my small block. I run nitrous at the track. There is an option to run a timing retard. I wired the pink wire from the box into my full throttle switch that runs to my nitrous solenoids. The retard works, but how well? The timing it pulls back is dead on as far as the numbers go. But does it pull it back quick enough to run the retard on the WOT switch when I hit the nitrous? I guess what I'm trying to say is, I dont want to hit the nitrous and not have my timing pulled back.

I wouldn't chance it that way myself.

I plan to wire it into the arming switch itself. I don't wanna chance the juice flowing before the timing is pulled out by using the WOT switch. I have a few nitrous junkie friends that have ran it this way as well for years now with no problems.

sorry i read my post again, i actually wired into my arming switch like you said, my WOT switch doesnt have power untill I hit that switch anyways. So I guess the timing gets pulled back in time then?

Yup, as soon as the system is armed and the motor is over 2000 rpm the timing gets pulled out by the box.

mattsv8_03..nice times on that shot!
