STARTER PROBLEMS
STARTER PROBLEMS
I am having some intermittent starter problems.. every morning it works fine, but if i drive around a little and turn it off and try to start it again, it sometimes wont work. I dont even have a click sound from it at all.. my radio and lights all work fine. I recently had thought i found the issue with a loose stud on the solenoid, but it happened again. since there are no relays on my car I am out of ideas on what it could be.

Re: STARTER PROBLEMS
This may seem stupid but it worked for me, check the power post which is located between the radiator and the battery (on mine at least) mine was all rusted, shined it up never had an issue since
Re: STARTER PROBLEMS
ill try the power post idea.. yes i do have headers and custom exhaust, but i do have a starter heat blanket and it still has the same problem... it will always start up if i give it about 15- 20 minutes to cool off and it starts right up.. thanks for the ideas

Re: STARTER PROBLEMS
You may just need a new starter my car did the same thing and I put a new starter in and and made sure all the conections were good and she started good when it was hot.
Re: STARTER PROBLEMS
yeah i had heard that too.. except i just put in a new starter about 2 days ago and it even still wouldnt start when it was hot.. during the winter, i have not a single problem with it.. its only when its hot and i live in florida, so it gets very hot, but thanks for the advice
