Engine: 350 .30 over w/bang for buck combo
Transmission: 700r4
Axle/Gears: stock for now
NEW GAUGE CLUSTER
Has anyone wired up new gauges into the car? Speedo Tach etc..?
i have an 86 z28 none of the gauges worked when i got he car and am in the process of swapping the 305 out for a 350 still carbed but i also noticed that the wiring harness on thec ar has a wire for tpi etc i want to rip all that un necessary stuff out and just keep what i need.
any ideas?

no i plan on installing Autometer gauges(speedo, tach fuel oil water etc..)

If your going to be using Autometer gauges you can get rid of pretty much everything, since Autometer gauges come with new sending units. If I was you I would get rid of everything except the turn signal wires and probably the tach wire, and the original ground and power wires.
