crazy electrical problem
Okay. So i have gone through roughly 4 batteries in 6 months now. No idea how. The battery works perfect for a while, then it just goes. I know the common things is a short, but I have checked for shorts and fixed anything that could have been possible. I have a new battery, alternator and starter solenoid. My battery reads 13-15 volts when running, and at 10-11 volts after i turn the car off. But sometimes the car will start with that. Can my volt gauge in my car be bad reading it with the 13-15. Other times it will not. I have a 105 amp alternator, could this be overpowering my battery?

Did anyone test or try to charge the batteries after they went? Your car seems to be charging but the in-car gauge is not accurate or reliable enough to tell exactly what is going on. If the numbers you refer to were for real it would indicate a battery with a shorted cell. You'll just have to get a digital multimeter to be able to get any further by yourself, and for anyone to be able to give any help . The amperage of the alternator is irrelevant for any "overpowering" issue you might have.
