Brake Light Switch/Torq Conv Unlock

Is the brake light switch what tells the tc to unlock?
If so, does anyone know which wire is for the tc?
If you do, is the curcuit open or closed with an open switch?

I know it's a lot to ask at once, but I need help a.s.a.p. Thanks guys.

The TCC solenoid gets +12v through a switch on the brake pedal. Pressing the pedal opens the circuit.

Re: Brake Light Switch/Torq Conv Unlock

ive had no luck in the transmission board for the problem im having.
when its time for the tc to lockup my cars shutters bad; applying the brakes slightly smooths everything out. so for now, i want to make my tc 'think' im braking to keep it from locking up.
im going to unhook the tc wires as a temporary fix for my problem.
thoughts?

Re: Brake Light Switch/Torq Conv Unlock

If you unplug the contact on the brake switch that has the pink/black and purple wires it should do the trick. There will be no adverse effects from doing this under normal driving conditions, only a slightly lower mpg.
There has to be a first time for everything you know..

Along with reduced mileage, you'll also have increased transmission temperatures while cruising in O/D.

yes.

Good thing you dont have the earlier transmission.. Those would actually burn out without the TC locked.
