battery
is it ok to leave my battery constantly on charge. my charger has a 2 amp setting which is what i put it on. car is never never driven in the winter, salts very corrosive so the car gets a break in the winter. problem is, i periodically go out and start it, i miss hearing it run. i also like to keep the "juices" flowing and scare out any possible critters that might like to build a nest. something wants to build a nest in my car, lol. ill scare the poop out of em when that 8 cylinder chervolet fires up. problem is that if i let my car set long enough the battery is always dead. the memory on the pioneer stereo, does that draw enough current to kill the battery? should i pull the radio fuse? anyways if i can safely leave my car on charge at all times on a 2 amp setting that what im asking.

Re: battery
Yes, provided you measure the actual charging voltage and see to it that it doesn't exeed 13.8V (at 25'C, rising to 14.8V at -5'C). The Amp setting doesn't say very much.
Yes, a modern stereo can draw as much as 30mA for memory and if so will kill a battery completely in 3 months. The radio fuse is not powered with the ignition off so pulling it will not help. You'd have to pull the radio itself. Older radios usually had a memory draw barely 1/10th as much and never caused this trouble.
