Fixing voltage problems

I posted a while back about how I'm having issues with my '89 IROC's voltage dropping as the car runs for a while. I did some searching, and I think know what I should do. Someone please doublecheck my plan and tell me if I'm missing anything.

I want to clean the grounding strap at the back of the engine. I'll also make sure where it bolts to the engine and chassis is clean of rust/paint.

Check the battery ground, which I think is at the starter solenoid? Again, clean off rust/paint.

Since I believe the problem started not long after I installed my SPAL fans, I'll doublecheck the wires to the fans, and the chassis ground behind the fan relays next to the battery as well.

Is there anything else i should do?

Re: Fixing voltage problems

i have the same problem. my voltage drops as i run the car for a while.
however i have that annoying chime when i turn the car on. the chime that goes on when you leave your lights on or when you have your door open and the key in the ignition.

haven't been able to trace it. i was gonna add other ground strap from the block to the car
