How do you wire this up?

Was tired of amp draining battery. Purchased a 160 amp Delco palladium alternator. It pluged right in, BUT. There is a wire coming from positive side of battery that hooked to a bolt on the back of alternator. This has a big brass eyelet on the back. Do I just use a bolt and hook to the back. Dont want to blow anything, please let me know. Thank you!

Re: How do you wire this up?

Don't bolt it just anywhere on the back, that is mostly ground there, and the wire would blow up or start a fire (unless it has a fusible link which would blow) as soon as you hook up the battery. The positive, red wire with the brass eyelet has to be bolted to the insulated B+ terminal on the back of the alt.
Remember to always disconnect the negative battery terminal first, and connect it last, when doing electrical work like this.
