Car was in Fire
Hey all got a few questions. My car was in a fire and f'ed up all the wiring under the dash and and melted every bit to about mid car and the entire engine bay. So I stripped the car down to nothing and had it painted and am in the process of putting it back together. My main question is does anybody know of a good wiring system that I can use in place of the stock setup? Something that include obviously a fuse box and every thing to run headlights, brake lights, radio, etc. Any suggestions would be useful.
Thanks
Bill

Re: Car was in Fire
Hey guys I found an 18 circuit wiring system from Jegs that is used with systems that use a GM Steering Column. This sounds like it would be an easier fix then running all the the wires and making some kind of custom fuse box. What do you think?

Call PAINLESS WIREING,they can make any wireing harness, they do have a few for FBODYS already. They have a web site, and the guys know what fit when you call the Tech Department.Try them, even if its not listed for a certian car, they will build anything you need, will take afew extra weeks, but it is well worth it,my buddy just got a wireing harness for his 84 camaro,it had no wires in the car, nothing, they made him a harness for the entire car, from headlights to tail light, and everything in between!!! Car didnt even have dash wires, they sent that also, didnt even have main harness wires, car was a shell with nothing when he bought it!!
We hooked it up,all wires tell you on the wire where they go,it took no time, car started right up,no problems at all, like it was a factory harness, all we ahd to do was cover the wires with a black spiral cover, that was it,all connectors was included, even all inline fuses, every Fuse Box connector, very nice harness, cost was $300 total.I know that sounds high, but for a no-headach install, you cant beat it!!!!
