HID Help

Alright i cant seem to find a straight answer to my question on the site so here it is: I currently have an H4 Headlight conversion on my car now. However, i would like to upgrade my H4 bulbs to HIDs. Could somebody please tell me exactly what I need to buy? or even link me? Thanks.

Re: HID Help

alright. now what is involved in the install? Is it a true plug and play or do you need to connect power and ground?

Re: HID Help

IMO never to plug n play used a high power relay and bigger wires. All my cars have HIDs in every spot. Most all companys are still made by sunpro. I have done dozens of installes and my fav is Phillips or GT-HIDs. All the ebay stuff is crap there are new v2 ballist boxes that are super small and 100% waterproof. And shop around........ Hint retail $350-400 cost $76

I was selling these at one time installed for $400-installed and install was 40minutes to 1hr. Around here there a company that sells them installed for $800. I no longer deal with these anymore. But will have a set in every car I own!! Minus the 92 stock only.

How about selling the components, and not doing the installs? If you know which ones are good, and which ones aren't...Just a thought.

Could you link me to a decent set for H4 Bulbs? It would be a great help.

Re: HID Help

My buddies shop deals straight with the company in Japan. And I Know we don't have H4 in stock. Just go on ebay or do a google search for GT-HIDs and spring for the $10 prewired relay/harness.

On ebay you should pay about $100 to $140 shipped but as long as they are GT-HIDs then you get the factory warranty and warrants can go out of the distributor (FL)

I have seen the $50 hids and even tought they work they suck on the light output!

Oh and the reason I say google GT-HIDs is b/c there are people in car forums that set up GP and H4 is a import car part.
