ok i just got my o2 sensor and air fuel gauge. but i have no instructions.

its an autometer gauge. three wires black red purple
I beleive the red is a switched power, black is ground and purple is is the signal from the o2. I think this is right.

the o2 sensor has three wires. is the o2 sensor the same ground switched power and signal? or do i just use one of the wires.

Are all three wire o2 sensors heated and what is the benifit of having a heated o2 sensor?
