Turn signal wont disengage

MY left turn signal wont auto disengage. You know when you turn the wheel then when it turns back the signal cuts off by it self. Its not a big problem just a minor annoyance and i would like to know why it wont so i can fix it.

There is a canceling cam in the steering column. You need to remove the wheel to be able to replace it.

Re: Turn signal wont disengage

Do you need to replace the turn signal arm or can you just replace the cam? Dealership part?

This just broke on me the other day in my DD car. Unfortunately the air bag makes this a bit more tricky i'd think...

Re: Turn signal wont disengage

Couldn't say how to do a 3rd gen one, except that the steering wheel needs to be removed. The only one I ever did was on a Cutlass in the mid 80's. I can't remember for sure, but I don't think the blinker stem needs to be removed. NAPA carries the part.
