vss signal problems

im looking for a vss buffer that splits the signal from the sensor into 4000 ppm for the speedo and 2000 ppm for the ECM. if anyone has one please let me know, or if someone knows of an easier way i could split these.

thanks

Re: vss signal problems

sounds like your doing a t56 swap? The device you seek is a Dakota Digital 5 box I'm not sure what letter comes after the 5 I use a 5c box but they may have a more advanced one.

Re: vss signal problems

its a long story actually, but im not doing a t56 swap. i bought the 92 rs with a v6 in it last year and i decided to drop in the 383 and switch it over to tpi. i got all the tpi parts off of the 88 iroc parts car i had so i put in the 88 ecm from the iroc and left the electronic instrument cluster.

and there comes the problem because the ecm from the iroc needs 2000 ppm because it was cable driven and the instrument cluster needs 4000 ppm. so given all of that would the part you suggested before still be the one i need?

thanks

Re: vss signal problems

Yes, it is a signal converter box. So when my t56 vss is sending a 4000ppm it goes through the box and comes out 2000ppm to my ecm.

I found mine on ebay for like $70 and it was shipped quickyl and I haven't had any problems with it.

the name of the box is dakota digital SGI 5c box. I forgot the SGI part.
