door cards off, with window UP??
my window motor died, and to my knowledge the door cards don't come off unless the window is down....it certainly won't come off right now...
how the hell can I get to the motor if I can't get the card off, and/or the window down??? ;(
PS - I have tried hitting the motor to try and get SOME life out of it but nada, completely dead...

It took me a bit to translate what you were referring to by "door card". From your other post I understand now. Door card = inner door panel. Ok, that done, now lets get your inner door panel off. Yes it would help to have the window down, but you should still be able to get it off with the window up. Here's how: Remove the screws holding the door handle and arm rest. Next use a door panel tool or lacking that a putty knife or flat-blade screwdriver to pop all the plastic push pins that hold it to the door. Grab hold of the bottom of the door panel and pull it out from the door a bit while putting upward pressure from the bottom. Now give the panel a bump toward the rear of the door. The top black plastic trim panel of the door with molded clips that secure to the door. By sliding the door panel to the rear it releases them from the door.

Re: door cards off, with window UP??
thanks for the reply,
that is an excellent description of how to take of the inner panels (I have done it many times unfortunately LOL) however it simply would not move off the hooks at the top because the glass doesn't allow it to move as freely as normal if the window is up.
I ended up having to remove the "card" part of it by separating it from the plastic trim across the top that it is attached to...worked out ok as the slight damage it caused is hidden under the trim anyway and all the other pieces hold it in place still.
Now when I can get the bloody window motor finished tomorrow THEN it'll all be ok
ha ha
