She's loosing pressure CAPTAIN!!

Well, I went out tonight to take a cruise and do some datalogging. My fuel pressure was acting funny the last few times I was out. I'd key on, pump would come on (both Walbro 255lph and inline procharger secondary), system would prime, pressure would be 49 PSI like normal. Well the last few days, I'd key on, pressure would show 49 then SLOWLY bleed to 15 or so. I could start it drive and the pressure would hold back at 49. Well tonight on my way to the gas station she died....AT THE FKIN PUMP!
Key on and nothing, pressure was at 0 PSI...she'd crank, crank, crank some more but no pressure. I got her back to my garage and key on I don't here the pumps or pump priming. I think I hear the relay click but I'll use a second person to key on while I go upfront and listen.

SO, looks like I'm doing some troubleshooting SOON.

if u cant hear the pump going, get someone to bang on the fuel tank with a rubber mallet while u crank it. if it starts u need a pump.mabey start by checking/replaceing the relay. good luck

Re: She's loosing pressure CAPTAIN!!

I went to Home Cheapo and Lowes...no luck. They don't carry dilithium crystals...they did have a sweet sale on BBQ Briquettes though! On a serious note, I'm going to start with the relay and actually my alternator as well. I was datalogging at the time so I'll look at voltages as well when it cut out. After that if the relay checks out I'll use the pump test connector and see if she pumps. We'll see. I'll keep this thread updated so people have yet another history to go back to when / if they come across similiar issues. Nothing like 8 #60lb injectors firing....and then poof...nothing.

One thing to note here. EVERY SINGLE PART in my car minus nuts and bolts, the interior and unibody is brand spanking new, newly installed and only about 75 miles on it right now. This is a 4.5 year project that's just finished as of last October and I'm in the middle of tuning.
