lou i just saw your other link. one question that i did not understand. most of that prob is with wheel down. witch way does it have to go if the switch only works in the high up possition?

Yeah I had to do redo that after I changed my ignition switch (its in place with the same bolt... it was a PITA to change the ignition switch... Think I need to adjust the hi/lo switch do get rid of the slack.. it works fine in my tilt position, really dont feel like dropping the column, I had to loosen the brake pedal so the switches didnt brake.. just a tip, its real easy to do it, just remove the C clip that holds the metal pin to the brake pedal and youre free... and then you dont have to worry about crushing the switchen when pulling down the steering wheel.

Good tip, king. 
If the hi/lo beam switch doesn't work right, it's usually the adjustment. No matter which way the tilt helps.
The adjustment doesn't take but 15 minutes. Try it and see if it gets better.
