starter wiring help

After 2 years of being down today I pulled my Camaro out from the back yard to install the new engine only to find that the damn dog has chewed all the wires that go to the starter.

I know that the small white wire is for the knock sensor.
The purple wire still has the connector with a small end on itso I'm sure its to activate the starter.

The other wires are chewed back all the way to the wire loom and whats left of them are red.

Does all 4 of the red wired join together and hook to the post that the battery cable go to?

Thanks
Dewayne

Re: starter wiring help

yep. but you should have a purple wire that goes to the ignition post on the solenoid, too. so i'm assuming the dog chewed the fusible links, too?

Re: starter wiring help

well, lemme correct myself a little bit. they all connect to the starter, but one wire goes to the alternator with a fus link. two of the other wires are spliced together and have a fus link, too. one of those wires goes to the big bulkhead connector and feeds your ignition switch and a handful of fuses. the other goes to the fan blower relay. the last wire goes to the fog lamp fuse and light switch, with yet, another fus link, and goes thru that bulkhead connector also. so in all, you should have 3 fusible links... hope this helps.
