Windshield wiper issue
Windshield wiper issue
my 92 camaro is having a weird issue and i hope someone here can help me fix it. My car has a tilt wheel steering column, and when I have it tilted down, the windshield wipers won't work, but when I tilt my wheel up the wipers sometimes work. and sometimes when the wiper switch is turned on but the wipers aren't working, when I hit a bump in the road they will start working. I'm thinking there is some kind of wiring problem, but I'm not quite sure. I have replaced the motor and the fuse is fine, so I don't know what else could be going on, maybe the wire is getting pinched in the steering column? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Re: Windshield wiper issue
It sounds like the wiper switch is broken. It is located inside the steering column. Take a look at this thread for the steps to remove and replace. You might also want to search this forum for wiper+switch and browse through the various threads to get some idea what is required to replace the wiper switch.
