100-140 amp alternator what gauge wire?

Those of you running high output alternators, what gauge wire are you using?

stock 105amp wire wasn't that big at all. I dont know the guage off the top of my head but it was definitely no wider than a quarter inch. I replaced it with something about twice as thick. If you want to get really **** about wire size, looking at the number of strands is important as it will dictate the wire's resistance and capacitance. Whatever you get, make sure the jacket can handle oil and underhood temps.

Starter wire is another one that seems sadly undersized for the current load.
