ok i have and 85 camaro z 28. I have no speedometor wipers or blinkers. the only time the blinkers work is when i turn on the hazerds and even then only the left front and the right rear work. I replaced all the bulbs and checked all fuses. and to make things even more crazy is the arrows in the dash both turn on when i turn on when i turn the head lights on and only the left one blinks when hazerds are on or other wise they dont work. there is also 4 wires hanging from the steering colom pink gray blue black i checked the plugs for the wiper motor and everything was pluged in. the guy i bought the car from told me the interior was out of a 91 please help

Ok, do you have the 82-89 dash?
or was the 85 style dash swapped with the 91?
IF:
you have the right dash for the 85 then all I can really tell you is pull the whole cluster out as one peice(four screws top and bottom, and then the two little nuts in the warning light holes, then it should come out without too much hassle)
After you have it out, check for any damaged wires in the circuit on the back of the cluster, and lubricate the speedo cable and when you assemble be sure it is firmly seated into the rear of the speedo too, or else it will make one hell of an annoying grinding-ish clicking sound.
Also, try cleaning the electrical contacts on the gauge, and the two plugs, and be sure it is firmly seated in there.
and if everything works out right, you have a working dash again!
However, if your dash was swapped for a 91 setup... I can't help you much here.
Also, if you do have the older dash, be sure there are no kinks in the cable, and make sure its connected to the tranny.
I had the same problem with my 88, post a response after you tried the above (if it applies) I'd like to know how it worked for you.

Re: truble
I have had similar experiences when I've had bad turn signal switches. An open here and feedback there will cause just such chaos--very frustrating.

I also was wondering what the box to the right of the colom under the dash is for cuz it looks rought all bet up. if important would the one off my 84 work?
