9-bolt concerns

I recently purchased a 88 Formula 350 WS6 car. It has the 9 bolt rear with 3.27's. I am having truble finding info and parts for this rear. What are the limitations and does anyoine make performance parts for it?

Don't worry about the 9-bolt rear. There are few performance parts for it. It will not blow up on you unless you do something DUMB.

for everything except a new posi, you can find soft parts, bearings, gears, and so forth at either

ratech racing or
randys ring and pinion.

they are not cheapo, usually a few dollars more than the typcial run of the mill 10 bolt garden variety rear. (although rear axle parts are really expensive anymore, price a 8.5" posi these days)

as for axles, I'm not sure, you can probably get custom axles for them from moser, or wherever. the posi can be rebuilt if its not too far gone, basically, you face off the cones to make them shorter, then shim them back up on the fat side.

miles from 9bolt.com also has parts, but is very difficult to get in touch with.

ta performance also makes a new diff girdle, and offers a stud kit to beef them em.

You sure do. Nice collection of hard to find 9-Bolt parts.

Hopefully the OP isn't still looking for parts after 16 years though.
