My new led gauges, complete with annoying seat belt chime...help!!

Ok so i got my blue led dash installed looks great but now for no apparent reason my seat belt chime just goes off constantly, i checked my doors, lights, seat belts, everything and theres no reason for it to be going off, so i obviously screwed something up, my question is when i was doing my dash one of my gauge lights was missing, so i pulled the bulb out of the seatbelts light socket and just used it elsewhere, is that my problem?? Is the constant chime a fail safe in case the bulb burnt out? do i need to go get a new bulb or is there a way i can disable the chime? Im pretty good with the whole seatbelts and lights thing so i dont need a reminder ( been in one too many horrible accidents that the seatbelt saved me)

any help would be greatly appreciated

cut the yellow wire in the convenience center. That should kill your seat belt fasten light along with the chime associated with the light... more here

You can disable the chime by disconnecting the connector housed in the driver side seat belt reel on the door sill. All this does is supply a ground to the indicator and chime when there is no tension on the seat belt. I would much rather disconnect a ground than 12 volts.

That didn't work for me for some reason. Thats the only reason I had to seek how to remove the 12v. Good luck...

Re: My new led gauges, complete with annoying seat belt chime...help!!

well my seatbelt chime didnt really ever chime for the belts, just the lights so i didnt even try hunting down that mess lol

For curiosities sake i moved the upshift light over to the fasten seatbelts slot and it worked, so there has to be a bulb in the socket or the chime just goes off

Just to kill the issue for good i took out the module and opened it up pulling out the metal disk that produces the chime and reassembled it then put it back, no chime, no more inaccurate upshift light, and a killer set of gauges i think ive made out on top lol
