Re: hatch motor stuck up
[1] Does it have power? Mine stopped working suddenly, somehow no more power to it. I've temporarily jumped some power from the lights just to get it closed. I had the whole thing out of mine and I didn't even think to check the power first. Yes, I did check the fuses first
[2] Switch that detects if the latch has entered the slot may be worn out. First I checked for continuity. Then, and this is completely up to you and this as a last resort , I drilled out the plastic "rivets" had a look inside and everything was fine. Be careful taking it apart, there's a spring in there for the switch and 2 small pieces of metal with prongs that slide with the switch. They'll pop out on you. I cleaned it up, put new lube into it and put it back together with some small nuts and bolts I had lying around.
Failing that, you can take the motor out and see if it actually runs. I used my battery charger juryrigged up to my multimeter wires and just touched them quickly to the plug on the motor to see if it would raise and lower.
How are the guides? Did you lube them up really good if you had it out already? I couldn't believe how tight mine was when I cleaned and re-lubed the channels. I used a ton of grease to get everything moving freely, lots of catching the overflow on a rag too hehe.
Just some ideas, and I hope some of the things I did just last month help you out.

Huzzah! Glad it was an easy fix, these things can be a pain in the butt.
