First of all let me thank you for taking the time to read this. Okay it started out every once in a while after shutting it off it would not start back up. When I would turn the key to ACC I could hear the fuel priming up. As soon as I would turn the key all the way to start it would go completely silent, not a click nor whir & it would even interupt the fuel priming. One thing I noticed that I thought was kind of odd was that when the key was on ACC all the dummy guages would light up except for the water temp. onen. That one lights up when I turn the key to start. I have replaced just about everything electronic to try to resolve this issue: dist. cap & rotor, coil, ignition switch, starter, even the computer. Is it possible since the water temp light does not go on with all the others when the key is on ACC that maybe the water temp. sensor is the culprit? I am thinking (& hoping that is the case) or I'm thinking it's the prom. Cause that's the only thing left I haven't replaced I'm pretty sure. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

 

Have you checked your VATS system? Does the security light come on?
